Hello everyone – I returned home from 2D Festival in Derry just yesterday! After giving myself a chance to recover, I can briefly report that I had a wonderful time, and I’ve won over some new Finn and Fish readers too.
I also got the chance to purchase other graphic novels there, like Glyn Dillon’s The Nao of Brown (got a lovely watercolour sketch in it too), Emma Vieceli’s Dragon Heir Reborn, and Kate Brown’s fish + chocolate among oodles of other novels and comics, such as Atomic Diner’s Jennifer Wilde and Liam Naughton’s Showa to name a few (and some freebies as well!). And I also met plenty of comic artists with some bemusing insights into comic books, including Declan Shalvey, Stephen Mooney, Will Sliney and the great Herb Trimpe, among many, many more (my apologies if I don’t list every one of you, but I love you all and adore your works, which eventually will get a shout out via gushing/reviews).
I will have more news and maybe a couple of reviews in the coming weeks, as well as working on Finn and Fish #5 in time for Arcade Con, if not Q-Con! (This is a working title for the comic, mind. The real one will be revealed on release.)
